West One Music is excited to announce that several tracks from Enlightenment (WOM 207)have been selected for use in Submarine, the latest release from Warp Films, whose past work includes such critically acclaimed features as Dead Man’s Shoes, This is England and the recent Four Lions.

The film stars Noah Taylor (Shine, The Life Aquatic…) and Paddy Considine (The Bourne Ultimatum, Hot Fuzz). It is the feature film debut of actor/writer/director Richard Ayoade (The IT Crowd, The Mighty Boosh).

Warp Films have hand-picked the West One Music tracks to sit alongside an original soundtrack composed by Alex Turner (Arctic Monkeys, Last Shadow Puppets) and James Ford (Simian Mobile Disco).



In the last few years, Golden Globe and Emmy award-winning American series Mad Men has become something of a phenomenon (even Barack Obama is a fan!), and West One Music is proud to be playing its part with Paul Reeves'Charleston being one of the tracks chosen to appear in the third season of the critically acclaimed show (the scene in question even entering the very definition of the Charleston in Wikipedia).

The track, from Quirky Vintage (WOM 140) also recently featured in major hit series Gossip Girl, whileWe Take It Allfrom WOM 123 has been selected for use in the opening moments of each and every episode of series 7 of the HBO smash Entourage.



West One Music's reputation in the trailer world proves as strong as ever with another track chosen to soundtrack the trailer for the creepy new film 'The Last Exorcism'. The creatives at LIONSGATE Films picked 'The Cult' from West One Music's trailer specific collection 'Fired Earth Music' to help heighten the horror of this seriously disturbing clip.

Interest in genealogy and tracing family history has been on the rise in recent years.

Ancestry.co.uk, the UK’s number one family history website, has launched a major new marketing campaign and West One Music provides the soundtrack. The track chosen was ‘Alley Cat’ by Paul Reeves from West One Music’s album of rip-roaring nostalgia Quirky Vintage.Check it out below...

We were delighted that West One Music's tracks were chosen for a series of adverts for The Independent. The national newspaper has recently launched a new marketing campaign that will focus on promoting the publication as a title that stands for truth and objectivity in news reporting.

This is a great addition to a busy few weeks on the radio front where West One Music has worked closely with brands such as HMV, Fairy, Jessops and Eurostar to name just a few!


As election fever hit the country, Marmite chose a selection of West One Music tracks to help stage a mock election for those who did and didn't like the product. The spoof provided a well-timed, tongue-in-cheek jibe at the insincerity of political campaigning. This multimedia campaign racked up the column inches and caused a real stir when the BNP tried to jump on the band wagon…!


Universal Pictures have chosen the powerful epic action cue 'From Within' by Daniel Nielsen and the haunting 'End of the World' by Terry Devine-King to feature in the trailer for their massively hyped blockbuster release 'The Wolfman'.

Inspired by the classic Universal Film that launched a legacy of horror, The Wolfman brings the myth of a cursed man back to its iconic origins.

The Wolfman's all-star cast includes Benicio del Torro, Anthony Hopkins and Emily Blunt and is currently on
general release.

A collection of cues from the West One Music album Heroic Action Trailers feature in the promo video for James Cameron's latest epic blockbuster, Avatar.

West One Music track, Something is Wrong by David Ayers and Felix Tod, features as the theme tune for the advertising of The Shift: Season 2 on the Investigation Discovery channel.

The Shift is a gritty, real world drama that follows an all-star squad of homicide detectives out on the streets of Indianapolis.

West One Music cue, Jitterbug, has been selected for Procter & Gamble’s new, innovative, multi-brand advertising campaign on UK television.

The TV advert, featuring household names such as Max Factor, Olay and Aussie, launched during the first ad break of the latest series of Big Brother.

Hyundai have selected West One Music for the advertising campaign of the new i20 car.

The engaging modern folk track, To the End, which features on the album Organic Acoustica helps create a magic world of huge shells and massive butterflies!

The dramatic cue, Connectivity, has been used for the promotional trailer for the highly anticipated chick flick Coco Before Chanel starring Audrey Tautou.

Connectivity is from the beautifully orchestrated Life In Motion album by Paul Reeves.

The epic cue, Day of Victory, has been used in the trailer for the blockbuster movie, Australia, starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh jackman. Day of Victory is from the mighty JVJ album, Epic Action & Adventure.

The monster track also features in the theatrical trailer for the new movie from Universal Pictures, The Express, which is due out later this year.

The guys at JVJ are working hard in the studio at present, so keep an eye out for a second massive release later in the year.


Eurostar needed just the right music to represent two different customer experiences: Business and Leisure, to feature in two short promotional films.

Working closely with the guys at Tomboy Films, West One Music's in-house engineer, Sara Gilchrist, tailored two lush orchestral works from the album Life in Motion to provide the perfect soundtracks.

During the run up to the big day, ITV are broadcasting a number of special ‘Festive Promos’ featuring West One Music.

West One Music’s custom music team were commissioned to produce a suitably Christmassy track befitting the likes of Duffy and Macy Gray.

Working with ITV, the composer James Wallace and singer Rahel, West One Music produced a contemporary version of Deck the Halls.

Where the dead walk and bullets talk.

Retro, psychedelic breakbeat track Snake Eyes features on the trailer for Sega’s The House of the Dead – Overkill game.

Snake Eyes provides the perfect soundtrack to this 70s pulp-horror, B-movie style trailer. The House of Dead – Overkill is available on the Wii early in 2009.
